What's up with Boomstick Stuff?

I have been involved in firearms sports (among other things) for a long time, not as long as some, but certainly long enough to be able to share some helpful knowledge. I see many more young people getting involved not only in shooting, but also in reloading. I am here to help! Here, you will find a growing amount of information, as I add it, in the form of database-driven reloading data, helpful articles, product reviews, and gear suggestions. I plan to make this site largely interactive, meaning I will be creating a way to provide feedback and suggestions, and may even create a forum if there is enough interest. Another reason I created this site was to address an issue I have seen on online forums and discussion sites, that is seasoned hobbyists treating new people with rudeness, judgments, and statements like “Google is your friend”. You won't find that here! So please enjoy and draw it all in! Ask questions! I will help without judgment!

What's up with David Donovan?

I, David Donovan, didn’t grow up shooting but was always intrigued by it; my dad wasn’t a hunter, and we went fishing maybe three times during my childhood, but I knew I had all that in me and unleashed it once I became of legal age. I bought my first gun at age 21, a Ruger 10/22 for $79.95 from Walmart. The rest is history, a history I will get into as this website grows. I started reloading in 1988 as a result of purchasing a Ruger Redhawk in 44 Magnum. I wanted to save money! I have since acquired much knowledge in the technical process of connecting way downrange on targets; paper, metal, or live! I have been involved in IPSC action shooting and International Handgun Metallic Silhouette (IHMSA), as well as many types of hunting game, large and small. I have also planned, assembled, and accurized a firearm or two (or numerous), especially the AR15! I will do my best to inform, help, and entertain! Thank you for visiting. Please stay as long as you like!
